Monroe St - 5 - Week Beginners Wheel Class, 5/18-6/15, 10am-12pm (Saturday)

Once a week, every Saturday! Classes will consist of 5 consecutive AM sessions.

This course is a great refresher for prior ceramics knowledge, individual instruction will accommodate all skill levels from beginner to moderate potters.

Class fee includes unlimited use of clay during class time and the ability to keep up to 10 finished pieces.

Everything you make will be food, microwave, and dishwasher safe.

Classes will consist of 5 consecutive evening sessions.

Class 1  Intro to the studio.  Learning the basics of how to wedge clay, centering and the throwing process on the wheel.
Class 2. Refresher on the throwing process and time to make cylinders and cups.
Class 3  Demo on trimming pieces from classes 1 and 2 if ready.  Open studio for throwing cups and bowls. 
Class 4 Trimming and finishing up wet work.
Class 5 Glazing

*Please note 1 more visit will be required after the end of your class to pick up your work.

All students should be at least 17 years old.

Cancellation Policy: Full refund if canceled 15 days before class. 50% refund if cancellation is 10 days prior to first class. No Refund after this 10 day period. FULL REFUNDS ARE SUBJECTIVE TO A 5% SERVICE FEE.

Make Up Policy: Quick make-up sessions are possible in a 30 minutes increment before and or after a pre-scheduled ongoing class.

*Please note individuals with long nails might find it difficult to use the potter's wheel. We highly advise trimming your nails prior to the course!

We will have aprons at the studio, however we recommend wearing clothes you don't mind getting dirty.  Clay does wash out easily!

Practice, practice! Studio membership is available to students who have completed a 5 week class. Students receive a first month membership discount of $90, clay is purchased in studio at $38-$40 per 25# bag.
