Young Artists 2-day Hand Building, Zoo Pals Plates, 9/8 & 9/22, 4-5PM (Verona)

Workshop fee includes both sessions for the month.

Recommended ages 7 and up, or younger with parent assistance

Clay-curious kiddos are invited to this 2-part workshop to explore the various ways to form clay with our most versatile tool: OUR HANDS! Each month we will feature a different technique and a suggested project. 

The class will be taught with an emphasis on having fun with the process and material. We aim to help kids understand that they are creative beings and wish to help them nurture this important part of themselves. We hope to support them in self-expression through clay.

Parents are requested to stay and assist their child if foreseen as necessary.

Workshops will consist of 2 sessions. The first session will be spent forming the clay and the second will be spent glazing the work. Pickup of the work at a later date will be required.

A project will be suggested and demonstrated, but the student is not required to make the project. They are free to explore any ideas they may have.

All materials used are non-toxic and food safe. Clay is a non-staining material and readily washes out of clothing. Please send a lap towel or apron with your child.

To cancel a class enrollment, email dongzhupotterystudio@gmail.com. Full refund if cancelled before 14 days of class beginning. 50% refund if cancelled before 10 days of class beginning. If you are ill on the day of class or have tested positive for covid within the last 10 days, please do not attend. A makeup time will be arranged.
