One-Time Hand-Building & Texture Workshop

In this single-session workshop, students will be introduced to three core hand-building techniques—pinch, coil, and slab. The focus will be on creating small functional pieces while exploring texture through carving, stamping, and pressing found materials into clay.

What You’ll Make

• Pinch pot (trinket dish, bud vase, or small sculpture)

• Coil or slab-built project (luminary, bowl, or small tray/board)

Glazing & Finishing

Since clay must dry and be fired before glazing, the instructor will glaze each student’s piece. Finished work will be available for pickup approximately 2–3 weeks after the workshop.

• Clay, tools, and guided instruction

• Firing of one finished piece per person

Policies

• Cancellations: Full refund if canceled 15+ days before the class; 50% refund if canceled up to 10 days prior. No refunds within 10 days of the class. A 5% service fee applies to all refunds.

• Make-Up Sessions: If missed, quick make-up options are available in 30-minute increments before or after ongoing scheduled classes.

• Trim long nails for ease of working with clay

• Wear clothes you don’t mind getting messy
