University Ave - 5 - Week Intermediate Ceramics Class, 9/25-10/23, 6 PM - 8 PM, (Thursday)

Once a week, every Thursday!

This course is meant for someone who is comfortable on the wheel, who can center and pull without close attention. You should have basic wheel-throwing skills before taking this class.  (1-2 multi-week classes are recommended). This class will focus on building better throwing, trimming and glazing skills. 

Possible projects include making sets, throwing larger bowls and vases, and possibly handles, lids, and feet.  The class also includes 1 - 25lbs bags of Gold Art high-fire clay (wet clay, not finished works).  Participants should anticipate some pieces being used for skill-building and practice only.  Additional clay will cost $40 per 25lbs. Recycled clay is free for use.

Everything you make will be food, microwave and dishwasher-safe.

Practice, practice! Studio membership is available to students who have completed a 5-week class. Graduates are eligible for studio membership with a first-month discount of 15%. Clay available for purchase at studio prices.

Policies:

• Cancellation: Full refund if canceled 15 days before the first class. 50% refund if canceled 10 days prior. No refunds after this period, subject to a 5% service fee.

• Make-Up Sessions: Quick make-up sessions available in 30-minute increments before or after pre-scheduled ongoing classes.

Preparation Tips:

• Participants with long nails are advised to trim them before the course.

• Wear clothes suitable for getting dirty.
